Taking a Risk

So, with this whole “blog” thing, I decided to take it one more step and continue on to the YouTube track as well. This past Wednesday I went to Disneyland with the one and only Zandria Theis to see if I could pull off this vlog thing.

THINGS I LEARNED:

  1. Do not, I repeat, DO NOT look at people why you are filming. Luckily, I had Zandria with me who would join me in talking to the camera and making sure I didn’t look stupid by myself. I made it a point when I started filming to not look at people, and while editing I saw some people in the back look at me weird. But you have to remember though, these videos are for you, not for other people.
  2. Since I’m not used to documenting everything, there was a good chunk of the day I forgot to film because it’s not in my nature to film and talk about everything.
  3. You are not the only person filming and talking to the camera. Tons of people do it, tons of people want to do it, you don’t stand out as much as you think you do.
  4. It’s a fun memory. No matter how many views or likes this video gets, I now have a fun video of an amazing day at Disney with my best friend. I can’t live my life for other people, so why film for other people?

Even though, like everyone, you want the things you put time and effort into to be a success, that is not always the case. All I can do with this video is share it with my friends and family, hope they enjoy it, and then see what happens from there.

THAT BEING SAID: Please go watch this video and enjoy it!! (If you do, a fun thing that would help me out would be if you liked it and subscribed to my channel!) #shamelesspromoting #BestDayEver
